Overview
Cashiers can apply discounts to individual items or the entire order. Supports both percentage-based (e.g. 10% off) and fixed-amount (e.g. $5 off) discounts. A reason can be attached to each discount for audit trails. Manager approval can be required for discounts above a configurable threshold. Discount amounts are clearly shown on the receipt and in sales reports. Works alongside promotions — manual discounts stack with automatic promotional discounts.
How It Works
This feature is part of the pos module. Apply percentage or fixed-amount discounts at the line-item or order level.
