Kitchen Display System (KDS)

Overview
Mount a tablet in the kitchen running the KDS view. Orders appear as cards showing table number, items with modifiers, order time, and elapsed preparation time. Kitchen staff tap to mark items as "preparing" then "ready". The front-of-house sees item status in real-time. Cards change colour based on age (green → yellow → red) to highlight delays. Supports multiple KDS screens for different stations. Reduces paper waste and improves order accuracy.
