Offline Mode

Overview

The entire POS operates from a local Room database on the Android device. Products, prices, customers, and tax rates are cached locally during sync. When offline, cashiers can ring up sales, apply discounts, process cash payments, print receipts, and open/close shifts — everything works identically to online mode. When connectivity returns, all offline transactions are automatically pushed to the cloud in the background. Conflict resolution handles the rare case of simultaneous updates. Designed for markets with unreliable internet.
