PIN Authentication

Overview
Each staff member is assigned a unique 4-6 digit PIN. PINs are used for: logging into the POS, authorizing discounts above threshold, voiding sales, accessing settings, and clocking in/out. PINs are stored as hashed values for security. Failed PIN attempts are logged. Managers can reset PINs from the web console. Eliminates the need for shared passwords on POS terminals.
