Overview
For high-value products like electronics, vehicles, or equipment, enable serial number tracking. Each unit gets a unique serial (IMEI, VIN, chassis number, etc.) recorded at receipt. When sold, the specific serial is linked to the sale and customer. Serial history shows the complete lifecycle: received → in stock → sold → returned. Enables warranty tracking, theft recovery, and regulatory compliance for serialized goods.
