Overview

Each cashier opens a shift by entering the opening cash float. During the shift, cash movements (pay-ins, pay-outs) are tracked. At shift close, the cashier counts the cash in the drawer and the system compares it against the expected amount, highlighting any variance. A Z-report summarizes the shift: total sales, sales by payment method, refunds, discounts, tax collected, and cash variance. Z-reports are stored permanently and can be reprinted or exported.
